It is observed that rats, cats and other pests are coming to areas which are clean. especially during monsoon and dirtying those areas with their excreta . Cleaning up the excreta can be time consuming. So one of the ways to drive away the rats, cats and other pests is to litter the entrance with waste plastic, laminated sheet, metallized foil which is used for most of the food products .
Though the entrance may appear to be messy when covered with the waste, it is fairly effective in driving away the pests as they food products have a strong smell.
